# MediaHub 1.0.0-RC2 Now Available
MediaHub 1.0.0-RC2 is now available for Android TV, continuing the final push towards the full MediaHub 1.0 release.
RC2 builds on the performance, navigation and playback improvements introduced with RC1, with this release focusing heavily on stability, Media Server reliability and IPTV Movie/Series browsing.
Improved Jellyfin & Media Server Reliability
Following feedback from RC1 testers, MediaHub’s Jellyfin integration has received another significant reliability pass.
MediaHub can now better distinguish between expired authentication, restricted library permissions, temporary server errors, network failures and cancelled requests.
This improves Jellyfin Libraries and Search in particular, while helping prevent working accounts from being incorrectly reported as unauthorised.
Network timeout and background request handling have also been improved across the application.
All Movies & All Series
RC2 introduces two new MediaHub-created IPTV categories:
All Movies and All Series
These combine content from across your IPTV provider’s available categories into one complete catalogue, while leaving the original provider categories unchanged.
Duplicate titles are automatically filtered and the catalogue makes use of MediaHub’s existing caching system to keep browsing responsive even with larger providers.
Sort by Latest Releases
Movies and Series can now be sorted by Release Date, allowing the newest available content to appear first.
Combined with All Movies and All Series, this provides a much easier way to discover recently released content across your complete IPTV library.
Where a provider does not supply a full release date, MediaHub will use the available year metadata as a fallback.
Final 1.0 Stability Work
RC2 also includes further improvements to:
- Network error and timeout handling
- Category and focus restoration
- Large IPTV catalogue performance
- Request cancellation during navigation
- Jellyfin Search and restricted-user handling
- Plex response handling
- Movie and Series catalogue caching
All of the major RC1 improvements remain included, covering startup performance, playback behaviour, D-pad navigation, Live TV Search, Football, Profiles, Jellyfin, Emby, Plex and more.
MediaHub Management RC2
MediaHub Management 1.0.0-RC2 is also now available, including the matching 1.0.0-RC2 / build 96 managed Android engine.
Updated Docker, Docker/Plesk, Ubuntu 24.04 and unsigned Android engine packages are available for managed deployments.
Next Stop: MediaHub 1.0.0
RC2 is intended to be another near-final build, with development now firmly focused on identifying anything that could prevent the full 1.0 release.
As always, feedback and bug reports are extremely useful.
